In 2000 she became drawn more into video work with installation work exploring the nature of place and memory. In relation to her living and working in Perth Western Australia since 1984 she created a video and sound installation work exhibited at Edith Cowan University in 2000 examining the site specifics of Perth underground lakes as a metaphor for personal histories through material culture. Throughout 2001 she took the ideas of identity and place several steps further through video and performance and into a more interior view of identity. In another subsequent video installation at John Curtin gallery in 2001 the audience was encouraged to interact with the work and create the visual themselves through this physical interaction in order to leave a trace of their identity on the screen. Since her relocation to Melbourne Victoria she is now investigating physical echoes of place and culture through architecture. Those doors and access-ways that have now been covered over and rendered dysfunctional still appear in glimpses and hover in limbo like memories etched onto the landscapes. These openings still exist in another reality but not able to be touched by us and we are only privy to the slightest glimpse or indication of their existence and purpose much like the underground lakes in Perth that have been covered over by grids. These openings only function symbolically now as an entryway into our personal histories and thoroughfares
