The photographs in this show are from the series "Gallup Main Street in the Windows". The face of the town reflected in a window that divides it from a fantasy world of the window display. These two realitys freely mix, disolve into each other, giving the photographs their surreal quality. Hope you will like them.
Milan Sklenar
Born in Czechoslavakia, studied Metallurgical Engineering. Moved to Canada, studied Art History and Cinema at Concordia University in Montreal. Moved to US, Graduate studies in Media Studies at New School for Social Research in New York City. Moved to Gallup, New Mexico to teach Art History, Cinema and Photography. In 1998 published a book, "Milan Sklenar, Photographs".
